AUTOS-DERISIONS
conception Geoffrey Severin
L’auteur

livre
livre
qui reprend - avec explications - toutes
les AUTOS-DERISIONS
réalisées à ce jour.

CAR-ICATURES
by Geoffrey Severin
The author has been inclined to conceive
word-games, drawn or not, since at least 1960; so one cannot say that he took
the idea from others, more recent.
As years went by, some of his
word-games started to become motorcar-oriented, and even gave birth to
humoristic drawings (these are becoming quite numerous and will probably be
published here).
As the author is also a model car enthusiast,
he is sometimes disappointed by the lack of quality of some models, and so
leaves them sleeping in a drawer…
But, when possible, why not use some
of these for humoristic purposes?
After examination, and then
sometimes quite complicated modifications, some models have proved appropriate
for representing word-games or caricatures under the shape of 3-dimensional
dioramas or eccentric models.
The author does acknowledge that
some of his friends have forwarded him a few ideas, but one has to admit that
it takes less time to turn out a pun than to put it in concrete form!
Also, if one uses car makes unknown to most, the work needed would be out of proportion with the number of persons who would appreciate. If you still add the fact that the automobile is beginning to be hated by some...

Whatever, this is a way not like an
other to reduce the quantity of unwanted objects which sometimes leave drawers…
to end in the dustbin. At the same time hoping you will have a smile on your face!

Sorry to say that the majority of
these puns only work in French. Some do however work in English, but these contraptions
will probably never be exhibited outside Belgium.

Remember: for the 2010 season, Formula Ones had to go about with incredibly wide and out-of-proportion front wings,
which of course got torn-off more than once...
This was surely foreseeable!
